Extra bins can be added for $6/mo - contact WM directly -- you will be billed for extra bins to be emptied directly by WM. Make sure to tell them you are with the East Valley Metro Contract.
TRASH COLLECTION
The East Valley Metro District coordinates a weekly community trash collection service through a private trash hauler for the residents of Algonquin Acres. Residents in the Valley Country Club Estates are obligated to a similar community contract through their home owners association and may have a different vendor and trash day. For EV residents, a monthly trash charge appears on the water bill. The EV service rate is up to 50% less than if each homeowner individually arranged for trash services and thus the reason a community contract was arranged. A community collection contract also eliminates multiple trash haulers coming into the neighborhood, likely on different days.
See and download the every other week RECYCLE SCHEDULE on the Reports/Forms page. East Valley weeks are highlighted in gold.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
RECYCLING WEEKS and INFORMATION
Recycle is picked up every other week. You can view and download the East Valley trash recycle schedule, our weeks are highlighted in gold, on the Reports/Documents page
For information on what can and cannot be recycled see below please or go to our vendor’s web site at this link and then click on the “Download the Guide” button. The materials included in our curb-side recycling program are chosen for their ability to be returned to commerce in a method that is economically viable to re-manufacturers. We encourage you to make your purchasing decisions with this in mind.
Where do the recyclables go? As part of Waste Management's nationwide Recycle America program, your recyclables are collected, sorted and baled. They are then shipped by rail and truck to various recycling mills within the U.S. and overseas. Your recyclables are then re-manufactured into new products.
